For Economics 740: International Trade: Theory and Policy, Professor Conning wrote the following:
I'll be using Krugman and Obstfeld as a primary textbook and either the new 7th edition or the older 6th edition will be acceptable (the latterseem to be in plentiful supply on the second hand book market for under$35). Generally I will teach somewhat above the level of thistextbook, using my own notes, and a few chapters from the texbook byMarkusen et al.
which is available free online at:
http://spot.colorado.edu/~markusen/textbook.html).
Info on the Krugman/Obstfeld Text:

As far as Game Theory and Microeconometrics, there has been no official word yet on the books being used.
For those looking to save and be "economical" (if that's a word), you should start with amazon. One semester in college I found a text book on amazon.com for a penny, yes a penny.
Good Luck This Semester Econ Grads!
